PENFEIA participated in Industrial Expo 2009 held at Penang International Sports Arena, Penang to showcase SMEs capabilities to potential business associates and collaborate opportunities in domestic and overseas. This is 10th time that PENFEIA had been participated in this exhibition.

PENFEIA celebrated 30th Anniversary Dinner and launching of PENFEIA website cum Malaysia Machinery & Industrial Supply Directory 2009 at Hotel Equatorial Penang. The Chief Minister of Penang, Tuan Lim Guan Eng was invited as the Guest-of-Honour for the occasion. Total 83 dinner tables were served. There were promotion booths at the banquet area to provide a platform for all guests. The event slogan were “ Innovate Towards Globalization”.

Ming, President of FOMFEIA officially declared the new building. After 30 years of establishment, their dream had come true to have their own building.

PENFEIA was invited to conduct a presentation on “Seminar on Advanced Development in Spanish Machine Tool Technology” at UniKL-MSI Kulim High Tech Park. The seminar mainly is to transmit Spanish industry news to the local enterprise. Also to understand the business environment and trade development opportunity in Penang. The invitation was by Spain Embassy Trade Commissioner, Mr. Antonio Garcia.

PENFEIA was invited to have a press conference with Invest Penang to named “Wishlist for Budget 2009” Investment promotion grant, revolving fund to assist public sector industrial park developers, reduction of corporate tax for SMEs, lift the curtailment of supply of gas through gas pipeline, incentives for the promotion of health service, planned infrastructure projects to continue, equal opportunities to local manufacturers of medial devices.

MOU between PENFEIA and NPC (PISA, Penang)

A signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PENFEIA and NPC Northern Regional was held at Penang International Sport Arena, Penang, the ceremony was witnessed by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi, formal Minister of International Trade & Industry Malaysia Dato’ Seri Rafidah Aziz and formal Penang Chief Minister YABTan Sri Koh Tsu Koon. The objective of this MoU is to enhance local SMIs to develop strategy of input-driven economic growth has to be complemented with productivity-led economic growth strategies.
